KARPOPOTNIK
1971 macht sich der 28-jährige K. G. mit der Kamera auf einen Roadtrip in die Vojvodina, von dem es nur filmische Fragmente gibt. 40 Jahre später: der gleiche Trip mit einer anderen Kamera, der das Mosaik überaus poetisch und scheinbar nahtlos zu einer außergewöhnlichen Kinoerfahrung zusammenfügt. Matjaž Ivanišin gelingt eine Hommage an Godina ohne Godina, der dennoch in jedem Bild gegenwärtig ist. (red)

The film portrays the ethnic minorities living in the Yugoslav province of Vojvodina and delighted the audience at its premiere, but was soon banned due to alleged subversive elements.
KARPOTROTTER
In 1971, K. G., 28, takes his camera on a trip around Vojvodina and makes an unusual road movie. Only fragments of that film have survived. Forty years on, another camera makes the same trip, putting together and imagining the travels of the young K. G. This highly poetic documentary elegantly and seamlessly fuses multiple realities with several fictions, resulting in a refined cinematic experience.
